The Ke Ala Hele Makalae, Coastal Bike Path.
Recently finished, the Kauai Coastal Bike Path stretches 2.3 miles, running exclusively along the Kapaa (Eastern) side of the island.
This path traverses quaint, old-style residential areas of Historic Kapaa, through rugged, surf washed shores along the old Cane Haul road, and ends at the spacious white sand beach of Kealia.
Kealia beach is an excellent finishing point on your journey along the coast.
The beach is lifeguard monitored, with restrooms and cozy individual beach front paviliions to rest up and have lunch at before heading back to Kapaa.
The paved path areas are simple to access and adjacent to the downtown restaurants, open air markets, cafes and boutique shops & galleries of Kapaa.
Surf & Paddle Boards Too!
We also rent Surf & Paddle Board Equipment, Boogie Boards, Kayak Adventure Tours, Helicopter Rides and more - everything you'll want to do to enjoy the many pleasures that Kauai has to offer.
We have special relationships with many of the sport and activity vendors across the island, as we are centrally located in Kapaa and are local to the island (Keiki O Ka Aina - children of the land).
Rentals & Events
Our rentals are generally available at same day, 24 hour, and monthly rates. Our bike rentals (Beach Cruisers) start at $10 a day. Locks, baskets & helmets are included in the price (helmets are required for riders under 15 yrs of age). Reservations are recommended but not required. Our rates are affordable and simple, and we are 1 block from the path entrance. We also offer:
